Mindfulness based practice has been well studied in a clinical setting for anxiety, depression, discontent, chronic pain, immunological disfunction, cancer recovery and, more recently, athletic recovery and performance. Rooted in the present moment and in our breath, mindfulness practice offers us the opportunity be present to our lives, non-judgmentally and in acceptance of the way things are. This may sound simple. Done consistently, it is life changing.
